What is Follow-Status Check?
Follow-Status Check allows you to verify whether a user follows your Instagram account when they click a button in a Button-Style Template message.
Based on the user’s follow status, Kittychat automatically controls what content they can see.
How It Works 🔄
When a user clicks a button in a Button-Style Template:
✅ If the user is following your account
→ The linked message or content is shown normally🚫 If the user is NOT following your account
→ The user sees a message such as:
“Please follow me first to see this message.”
This helps you protect exclusive content and guide users toward following your account.
Editable Message for Non-Followers ✏️
The message shown to non-followers is fully customizable
You can edit this text in the Auto DM setup pop-up
This allows you to use friendly, on-brand wording or add a clear call-to-action.
Default Behavior & How to Disable ⚙️
🔘 Follow-Status Check is enabled by default when using Button-Style Template messages
❌ If you don’t want to enforce follow-only access:
Simply untick the Follow-Status Check option in the Auto DM setup
